Visit our Active Lambeth centres this May half term and discover everything they have to offer.
From swimming and mini golf to bowling, soft play and ice skating, there’s plenty for families to enjoy. Children can also try clip ’n’ climb, join our crash courses, meet new friends at our holiday club, or explore a range of activities throughout the week.

Family Leisure Zone: Soft Play, Climbing Wall and more
Half Term is the perfect time to discover the Brixton Recreation Centre’s Family Leisure Zone, a space designed for fun, exploration, and active play. From soft play zones for younger children to dynamic agility course and our popular clip ’n’ climb walls, there’s something to challenge and delight every member of the family. It’s an ideal way to keep kids active and engaged throughout the school holidays.
Join us during school holidays between 9am and 6pm (last session starts at 6pm) for a day of fun and adventure.

Streatham Ice Rink: Ice Skating Crash Course – Intensive course for beginners (for all ages!)
Make this Half Term extra special with a trip to our Olympic‑sized ice rink at Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre. It’s an exciting way for children to stay active, burn energy, and enjoy time on the ice.
We’re also offering crash‑course lessons during the half‑term break, giving skaters a 30‑minute session with a qualified coach each day from 11:30am to 12:00pm, Monday to Friday (starting on Monday 25 May 2026).
Perfect for beginners and improvers looking to build their skills throughout the week.
Active Bowling at Brixton Rec

Holiday Club: fun-filled, high quality care
Holiday Club for kids aged 8–12 at Brixton Recreation Centre and Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre
Check out our Holiday Club, offering high‑quality care and a wide range of activities to keep children active and entertained. Running Monday to Friday, sessions include soft play, football, dance, and more to keep your little ones engaged throughout the day.
Cost per day: £26.50
Concessionary rates are also available for those who qualify*.
Swimming Crash Courses
Our school holiday Swim Crash Course is designed to help children aged 4+ build confidence and develop essential skills in the water. Running Monday to Friday this half term, sessions are available at Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre, West Norwood Health and Leisure Centre, and Clapham Leisure Centre.
These courses are ideal for non‑swimmers, beginners, and improvers. Use the guide below to choose the right level:
- Improvers: Able to swim 10m unaided on both front and back
- Non‑swimmers / Beginners: First swimming lesson or developing basic water confidence
Prices start from £8 per session.
Active Putt & Play – Mini Golf fun for all ages
Enjoy a colourful and creative mini‑golf experience at Active Putt & Play located at Ferndale Community Sports Centre.
This vibrant 12‑hole course is designed for all ages and abilities, making it perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking for a relaxed outing with a bit of friendly competition.
Each hole is full of Lambeth character, featuring playful designs inspired by local landmarks and some of the borough’s most iconic spots.
The course has wheelchair access and adapted putters for wheelchair users, as well as putters for the kids.

Lambeth local? Book on to any General Swim Session at your local Active Lambeth swimming pool and children under 11 swim free! Please note this offer MUST be booked online to avoid overcrowding of our pools.
