There’s a lot happening across Active Lambeth right now. With Brockwell Lido officially joining the Active Lambeth family on 1 July, our network has grown from eight centres to nine. As part of this exciting next chapter, Lambeth Council is investing in a major upgrade to the Brockwell Lido gym. This refurbishment will deliver a fresh, modern training environment, complete with brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art equipment and improved spaces to support every type of workout.
What’s coming to the new gym
These are the latest 3D visuals from Pulse Fitness, and they show where we’re heading: a full cardio line-up, a refreshed strength area with free weights up to 50kg, plate-loaded and pin-loaded machines, and a dedicated functional zone with a 12-metre sled track. Brand-new flooring throughout to tie it together.

Temporary closure & access during refurbishment
The Brockwell Lido gym is now temporarily closed while refurbishment work takes place.
During this period:
- The Lido remains fully open
- Gym access is unavailable
- Classes are paused and will resume on Saturday 11 July
- Brockwell Lido members can continue to use gym facilities and attend classes at any other Active Lambeth centre across the borough as part of their membership until services at Brockwell Lido resume.
We know temporary closures can be inconvenient, and we truly appreciate your patience while we make these improvements.
What’s next
We can’t wait to welcome you back into a completely refreshed Brockwell Lido gym – better equipped, more functional and ready to support your fitness journey.
Stay tuned for updates. We’ll be sharing behind‑the‑scenes progress on our social channels throughout the refurbishment.
