Lambeth has a rich history, including its connection to Waterloo Station built in 1848 and located in the Waterloo area of the London borough of Lambeth.

Waterloo Station is named after Waterloo Bridge, which is named after the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and is one of busiest railway stations in the UK.

The name “Lower Marsh” preserves the memory of this landscape. What was once a muddy farmland is now home to Waterloo Station, one of the busiest transport hubs in the UK
