Celebrating one year of Active Lambeth

On Monday, April 1 Active Lambeth marked its first anniversary with a fantastic family open day.

Our leisure centres were beautifully decorated, and both members and visitors enjoyed refreshments and free activities. The day featured bouncy castle sessions and Easter egg hunts for children, free fitness classes, gym trials, free Pickleball and tennis sessions.

Mo Youssef, Head of Leisure said “Celebrating one year of remarkable achievements at Lambeth Council, we’ve transformed community wellness and engagement, successfully insourcing our leisure centres under the Active Lambeth brand and introducing innovative amenities like the family fun zone and karaoke rooms, new cafes and the development of fitness facilities at Clapham and Streatham.

Our leisure centres have become vibrant hubs of activity, fostering a strong sense of community. As we step into year two, we’re excited to unveil even more groundbreaking initiatives that will redefine leisure and wellness in our community.”
