Swimming

We have excellent swimming facilities available at four of our leisure centres: Brixton, Clapham, Streatham or West Norwood. Our main pools are all 25 metres in length, making them ideal for lane swimming and general fitness.

Swim for Fitness (Adults Only): Managed by ability with lanes.

Swim for All: General swimming for all those who meet Swim Safely Rules.

Children who reside in Lambeth under 11 years old swim FREE at all general swimming sessions across Active Lambeth swimming pools. This offer MUST be booked online to avoid overcrowding of our swimming pools. This offer only applies to Lambeth residents. Proof of ID will need to be provided when visiting our centres.

Swimming Safety
All sessions are operated under our Swim Safely Rules:

• Non-swimmers and under 8’s must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer.
• No more than 2 non-swimmers or under 8’s with each competent swimmer.
• The competent adult swimmers must actively supervise under 8s and non-swimmers
• Non-swimmers must remain in shallow water, and it is strongly recommended that they use floats and arm bands.
• A competent swimmer must be able to swim 25m on their front in a recognised stroke, unaided and without stopping.
