Founder of the Royal Doulton Pottery company, renowned for its fine China and porcelain. His Tomb (Mausoleum) at West Norwood Cemetery is constructed from terracotta tiles produced by his company.

Author of “Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management” one of the most influential cookery books in the 19th Century. She died at 28 and is buried alongside her husband, publisher Samuel Orchart Beeton.
Sir Henry Tate ( 1819 -1899)
Sugar magnate and philanthropist who founded the Tate Gallery. His terracotta mausoleum in west Norwood is a notable feature of the cemetery.
